The Game Our game theory for this year is to have a robot with a track that has six wheels, an extending arm, and a trident on the arm to get no more than four of the bottles. We brain stormed ideas on the blackboard for basic designs of the robot. We took bits and pieces of each of the drawings and came up with our MPVROVR. After we decided on a basic design, our robot crew (everyone in MPV Engineering), started to create MPVROVR. From base to arm, arm to wheels, the robot was being created. At first we cut out the base of the robot. Then as we progressed further, we used slides for the extending arm that goes in and out, and up and down. PVC is used for the arm. We also cut out the six wheels for the robot. On the track we are using for the wheels, one of Bentonville’s members (Andrew Blumhardt) made a program for the design of the track to be cut. Afterwards, we jig sawed out the pieces and chipped away the excess. Then we carefully weaved the pieces onto a strip of inner tube, stapled it together at the ends, and put friction tape on the wheels and placed the track onto the wheels. Our robot has gone through some technical difficulties the past week, but all of them have now been checked and fixed.
