About Us

We are the MPV Engineering Team. Our team is composed of members from three schools in a consolidated school district, Mulberry High School, Pleasant View Junior High School, and Millsap Intermediate. This will be the sixth year for our team. Our members have changed over the years, but our purpose is the same. Not only to further our education, but our character and way of learning. After being faced with a problem, or objective, we use the scientific process to solve, improve, and ultimately achieve our goals . Usually trial and error helps solve some things, but the Engineering Process is a more technical advancement. Throughout our school year we work on projects and compete in competitions. BEST is one of our focuses for the year, which includes 6 weeks of competition and pre-game and post game meetings.

Our team is comprised of students from grades 5 through 12. Most of our students enjoy the engineering field, and plan on pursuing it into future years. We meet after school, almost every day during the BEST competition. During this competition, which is what we are currently participating in, we create a robot from a supplied kit, we make a display table, we write a notebook and create a website. Most recently we are learning how to create websites like this one with macromedia Dreamweaver and we are responsible for updating our school website (at www.mpvschools.com).
