Pictures of our progress so far...

BEST stands for Boosting Engineering Science and Technology. Schools participate in a robot competition. We build our robots from scratch out of specific materials. We do fundraisers to make money for our materials. We create a booth to explain how we use technology and engineering. We promote our club and activities through the newspaper and radio. In 2005 we took home four awards. “Best T-Shirt Design”, “Most Photogenic Robot”, “ Fourth Place Robot” and “ Third Place BEST Overall.” We are working hard to place again this year.

This competition is not only challenging but a lot of fun. To find out more about BEST please visit www.bestinc.org. Every year the University of Arkansas at Fort Smith sponsors the local competition called River Valley BEST as well as the regional competition called Frontier Trails BEST. This years River Valley Competition will be held on October 20th.

This year's game. We're going to Mars! The object is to collect supplies and materials from the surface of the planet and bring them back down a ramp and place them in a scoring bin.
